    Technical Training Specialist – Maintenance & Sustainment of the HICON:

     

    * Current Secret Security Clearance Required

     

    Location: Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, LA

    Job description: Operate JRTC HICON: Replicate Higher Command (HICON) for rotational training units. Maintain and operate all C4I hardware Mission Command Servers and computers and software; maintain Information Assurance updates, and provide 24 hour support for ARMY Mission Command Systems and 21st ID tactical SIPR workstations, and WIN-T assemblages, operate the Help Desk for Rotational support. Employee will also act as trainers and maintainers. Comply with JRTC standards for operational readiness, technical refresh, and availability of services. Responsible during rotation for HICON Support Desk Operations. Maintain duty journal. Support is required to assist with CPOF questions and basic operator skills. Support the rotational unit, Observer Coach/Trainers and Joint Operations Center personnel. Assist with Battlefield Update Briefings and conduct refresher hardware and software re-baseline training when Program Manager fielded hardware or software upgrades are implemented.

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    §  Maintain Information Assurance Training Level II.

    §  Have a basic understanding of day to day operations of the Joint Operations Center, techniques and procedures.

    §  Current on all systems, software and hardware upgrades in JOC and at CTC.

    §  Load software updates and IAVA patches in compliance with the Program Manager directives.

    §  Experience maintaining the following: Mission Command Servers, Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System, Distributed Common Ground System-Army, Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS), Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) and Tactical Ground Reporting System (TiGR).

    §  Performance Standards: Maintain software updates and IAVA patches for the OPS GRP only.

    §  Must have a working knowledge of physical and virtual servers as well as the authorized operating systems utilized on them.

    §  Experience maintaining and operating all C4I hardware Mission Command Servers and computers and software.

    §  Maintain Information Assurance updates, and provide support for ARMY Mission Command Systems and 21st ID tactical SIPR workstations; and WIN-T assemblages, operate the Help Desk for Rotational support.

    §  Must have basic operator knowledge to include operator level troubleshooting skills on all Battle Command systems.

    §  Be able to identify failed equipment that is out of warranty prior to procuring a new replacement. 

    §  Be able to maintain Air and Missile Defense Work Station (AMDWS), Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI), FAAD.
