    Electronics Technician

     

    Oak Grove Technologies, LLC is searching for an Electronics Technician for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Fort Polk, LA.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and provide assistance with all ACS software and hardware maintenance and project activities
    • Coordinate with vendors during the design, installation, operation and maintenance of security access control system equipment including card readers, alarm points, camera system and associated peripherals including remote locations
    • Assists to manage all hardware and software processes, including cost estimates, and vendor contract relationships.
    • Assists to oversee construction process including drawings, physical security layout, and project Management.
    • Administration of all associated security hardware including CCTV, intercoms, tailgate detection system, card readers, Maglocks, balanced door contacts, local alarms, and turnstiles
    • Integrate, install, test, and repair computers, badge printers, closed circuit television, and other access control devices in accordance with appropriate specifications and standards
    • Verify access control/CCTV system functionality by testing equipment, connections, and signals;  identifying and correcting problems
    • Perform camera maintenance tasks on pan tilt zoom (PTZ) and fixed cameras via aerial lifts and ladders
    • Perform preventative maintenance activities of all access control components and subsystems to include digital video recorders, video cameras, magnetic locks, badge station and other access control system devices as required
    • Create and maintain accurate process documentation, drawings, inventory, and records
    • Perform technical, operational, and training support for security personnel on the access control system either by telephone, or on-site for system hardware and software issues
    • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
    • Maintain safe and secure work environment by following safe practices and keep security information confidential
    • Assist in the integration of the various systems when such integration is possible
    • Assist the Industrial Security Specialist in the day-to-day operations of the Electronic Access Control System as needed

    Qualifications

      • Comply with all company and OSHA safety standards and wear/use PPE as applicable
      • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to obtain and maintain post driving privileges
      • Required Education: High School Diploma
      • Desired Education:  Associates Degree in Electronics or trade equivalent plus 2 – 4 years’ experience in the electrical field

     

    • Certification (CE) in either Security+, A+, Network+  via CompTIA preferred
    • Certified in Tower Climbing or able to be certified within 30-60 days
    • Must be a US citizen and hold a current a U.S. SECRET Security Clearance
