Overview

Oak Grove Technologies, LLC a fast growing federal contractor, is seeking a Visual Information Specialist to develop design and provide creative input for all graphic art projects. The Visual Information Specialist will work out of the Alexandria, Virginia or Raleigh, North Carolina office location.  Oak Grove Technologies offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Create 2D and/or 3D graphics and complex, multi-layered images, and Animation timeline compositions for incorporation into web-based products.

  • Utilize various 2D and 3D visual filters and Motion Graphic effects from within the software and have the ability to concept out ideas in rough sketch or beta model from software.

  • Work effectively with instructional designers and programmers to develop designs that convey the right information and can be implemented within the technical constraints of the development platform
  • Provide information and direction on the use of visual materials, computer graphics, advanced visual communication techniques, reproduction and printing processes, cost of media production, and other matters related to design and the development of the visual components of projects
  • Provide oversight and coordination of project needs and assuring deadlines are met

Qualifications

  • A degree in Graphic Design or a similar degree is preferred, but not required
  • No more than 5 years of experience
  • Familiarity with 508 compliance
  • Have the ability to produce original 2D/3D animation for incorporation into web-based content to create animations with action scripting, HTML, and scripts native to the various applications used like Maxscript, javascript, jquery, CSS etc.
  • Proficient in a multitude of rendering/compression techniques for 2D, 3D, and Video output.
  • Knowledge of and experience using 3-D Studio Max, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe AfterEffects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Captivate, Maya, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Adobe Flash
  • Familiarity with SCORM
  • In-depth knowledge of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) learning model
